Landscape Artist of the Year 2016
Once again Storyvault Films has collaborated with the National Trust for the new series of Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year 2016 which is currently transmitting. The programmes are an evolution from the Portrait Artist of the Year series, which was also presented by Joan Bakewell and Frank Skinner and judged by Tai Shan Schierenberg, Kathleen Soriano and Kate Bryan.
Successful applicants – amateur and professional – were invited to take part in heats in stunning National Trust properties up and down the country. 50 “wild-card” artists were also invited to come along on each of the recording days, and compete for a place in the final. Those selected took part in further artistic challenges all over Britain, with the winner being awarded a £10,000 commission to paint Petworth House, made famous by Turner.
