SKY ARTS LANDSCAPE ARTIST OF THE YEAR

Storyvault Films collaborated with the National Trust to search Britain and Ireland for a new Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year 2015. The series is an evolution of the Portrait Artist of the Year series, which was also presented by Joan Bakewell and Frank Skinner and judged by Tai Shan Schierenberg, Kathleen Soriano and Kate Bryan.

Successful applicants were invited to take part in heats in stunning National Trust properties up and down the country. Finalists took part in further artistic challenges in Scotland, Ireland and Wales with the winner being awarded a £10,000 commission to paint Flatford in Suffolk, made famous by John Constable’s Haywain. This view was chosen by National Trust members for the winner to paint, in a special poll.
