Sam started her career nearly thirty years ago, working as an assistant to legendary Theatrical Agent Julian Belfrage. During this time she had the privilege to work with some of the finest Actors in the World. From there she went to the US to work for Triad Artists where she became the youngest SAG franchised Agent at the age of 21, with Special Artists Agency. Samantha moved on to management and production company Addis Wechsler for a year, prior to moving back to London in 1990 to work for the William Morris Agency. Along with Sue Latimer, Samantha built up the theatrical division of WMA, representing some of the best known British stars of stage and screen. In 1997 she left WMA to set up Storm Artists Management, the theatrical arm of Storm Management which she ran until starting The Doris Partnership, an independent television production company in 2005.
In 2010 Sam joined forces with Stuart Prebble, David Buckley and Southan Morris to form Storyvault Films, having collaborated with them on Am I Normal, a 4×60 for BBC2 and Willie’s Wonky Chocolate Factory for Channel 4. Her recent television credits as an Executive Producer include Objects of Desire, a six part series for Sky Arts; Winners, 1×60 for Sky 1; Bulk Buy Britain 1×60 for Channel 4; Crimes Against Fashion, a pilot for More 4; See You Next Monday, a 1×60 pilot for Channel 4, and Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year.
